# Manufacturing quotes: machining, molding, sheet metal and PCB assembly

> Get a made-to-print part quoted: process, material, tolerances, finish, quantity and lead time, in an RFQ a machining, molding, sheet metal or PCB shop can price.

Chamfer: A drawing a shop can quote the first time. Send a requirement.

## What it is for

An engineer with a drawing needs a shop that runs the right process at the right volume: five prototypes machined in a week, or 20,000 molded housings a quarter. Finding a shop with open capacity, the right equipment and the quality certifications for one part is slow, and many requests for quotation go unanswered. Set out the part, process, material, tolerances, finish, quantity and lead time so a shop can quote without a round of questions.

Mechanical and electrical engineers at product companies, hardware startups moving from prototype to production, and sourcing staff replacing a shop.

## What happens next

You get a reference number and your RFQ as text you can send to shops. We look at every requirement, and when we can find a shop that runs this process at this volume or get the part quoted, we reply to the email you leave. Keep your drawings until you are dealing with a shop under your own agreement. Nothing is ordered or committed until you agree terms. Contact details are kept apart from the requirement and deleted after 180 days.

## What you get

A reference number, your request for quotation set out as text (process, material, tolerances, finish, quantity and lead time) any shop can price, and a reply when we can get it quoted.

## Scope

Anywhere; shop location preferences are recorded as stated.

- Drawings and CAD files are not accepted; describe the part in words.
- Export-controlled parts (ITAR or EAR) are recorded only as a stated need.

## Send a requirement

Fill in the part and the terms below and send them. Agents can POST the same fields to /contract-manufacturing/requests or call the submit_request tool.
